Mindful Self Compassion

Today practice self compassion. Love yourself for all you have been, all you are today, and all you will become. Treat yourself with kindness, let go of self-criticism. Tune into the world right now. Notice what is happening. What is meaningful in the moment? What value can you create now? What are you saying to yourself? If you find your internal thoughts are negative. STOP! Make the conscious choose to change those thoughts and keep a positive mindset. Give your self support, show yourself kindness, be enthusiastic about all that is authentically you right now. Let go of thoughts that do not make you strong. Fear is an illusion. Failure only happens when you stop trying. Have faith in yourself.

Random Acts of EGGcellent Kindness

This Easter season, I'm encouraging you and your kids to go EGG people! This is a super fun way to promote extra kindness and excitement leading up to Easter. GO EGG your friends, family, and even random people you dont know with Random Acts of EGGcellent Kindness! Let's start a new tradition and enjoy some spring time fun! This is surely an Easter activity your family will enjoy because I know how much my family enjoys it.

Select plastic eggs to reduce moisture for the goodies inside. Let the kids select little (eco friendly if possible) presents to put inside. I did not leave candy inside because most parents would want their kids eating candy left by strangers…so we selected varies little handcrafted, or little toys, or stickers, or plantable treasures. You can come up with so many possibilities. I also leave a little The note that simply reads:

“You are receiving a random gift of kindness. Enjoy your treat and consider leaving one for someone else to find! Live Positive Today"

Next Go Egg planting. We have walked through the local park and have left them on benches, on the pathway, or near a tree. We have even left some on the Boardwalk near the beach and on a few windshields. In a mailbox and on a playground. The kids get very exited to think of new places along on our travels. The girls have even watched a pair of kids find one of their eggs and loved listening to the shriek of finding a treasure and having them rush off to show their mom and dad. Adult reactions are just as much fun too!

You also can leave your eggs with this poem when leaving 12 eggs hidden in a friends yard:

Look at that! You’ve just been EGGed!

But do not be alarmed.

We came, we dropped, we ran away…

Your house, it was not harmed.

So what is this before you now?

Just an early spring surprise.

Be quick and look around your yard…

Twelve EGGs lay in disguise.

A secret friend has just dropped by

To share some spring time cheer.

So now you’re it! It’s now your turn

To EGG a house that’s near.

Select a friend, or two or three…

Gather a dozen EGGs for each.

Be sly and hide them, knock and flee!

Leave this message at arm’s reach.

Sprinkle a Little Happiness, Magic, and Love In Your World!
